Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

Conveniently located on North Main Ave. Durango trolley stop located across the street. Buses run every 20 minutes. There is plenty of parking in the main lot, back lot, and side of building for longer vehicles. Clean, comfortable rooms. Simple breakfast offered from 6am-9am. Close to many great sit-down restaurants. The staff is helpful and kind.

For the price, around $100 after tax, absolutely 5 stars. We arrived late and needed to leave early, and needed a bed for the night. Rooms are clean and nice. Shower fixtures and bathroom recently remodeled. Safe. Good location. No frills, but if you're looking for clean, nice and affordable room this is the place! Free continental breakfast, toiletries in rooms.

I’m quite surprised that this place is poorly rated by anyone. This is probably one of the best run hotels in Durango. It’s an Econo Lodge guys. Breakfast will be limited, rooms might be dated, you’re not sleeping on the most expensive mattresses, your TV isn’t going to be the biggest. But this place has everything you need for a quick stay. It’s remarkably clean for a budget hotel, staff were perfectly friendly, and they even have a hot tub (that also seemed perfectly clean). The hotel really tries hard to keep out riff raft, which it attracts because of the very low prices. I think some of their policies to keep trash out of the hotel has caused some negative reviews. My only complaint was that road noise was pretty loud, but that’s not really anything the hotel can fix. A good pair of earplugs can resolve that issue in a jiffy. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone passing through Durango that needs a place to crash for a couple nights.

My brother and myself Came into town for the New year and we're just trying to find a place to hang out with each other since my youngest is has kid's and she didn't want us doing anything around the kid's, Understandable. So we went into this hotel and tried getting a room and he had a phone call before he served us that didn't sound great for him. But I asked him the price of a double queen and he said 130.00 that was a little much for my budget for a night to drink a few beers. As we've leaving he had the nerve to insult my integrity, My brother was talking to him about the rate because he asked my brother if he lived in Durango and my brother does. He then made the comment that he would need a 300.00 deposit even with my credit card. He then said that I would cancel my card for any damages done. I was appalled and offended by his rudeness and comment that I told my brother to just walk out and went to a better and nicer hotel at the Adobe inn and the rate was way cheaper than the economy lodge for sure and my brother didn't need as 300.00 deposit. RUDE STAFF! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. UPDATE; It's not like we caused any trouble. Just wanted to get out and enjoy the new year. IF THAT'S A SIN THEN SHOOT ME. We ended up staying at the Adobe inn just down the street and had no complaints from them or about them. Better rates and services. Go there don't waste your money at econo Lodge. It's cheaper to go to Adobe inn then staying somewhere where they will insult you.

This is a very nice, average motel. Nothing fancy, no frills - just a decent place to sleep. Rooms were spacious with a mini fridge and everything worked as it should, but you could tell they were older and could use a few updates. However, everything seemed clean and as stated, functioned properly. A breakfast is provided, a simple one - enough to get you on your way again. A hot tub / jacuzzi of some sort was available, but during my travels it was almost always occupied. The staff was friendly and helpful - even freely providing old rags to wipe down our motorcycles after hitting some rain. I'd recommend this place and would stay here again in my travels.

We took a chance on the Econo Lodge after switching from a different motel following a bad experience. This was a pleasant stay! Even though we booked very late in the game, the front desk attendant was very kind and accommodating. We had a room less than 15 minutes after leaving the other motel. The rooms were clean and safe. This is an older property, but well-maintained and reasonably priced. Stay here.
